Gynecological Cancer

Gynecological cancer refers to any cancer of the female reproductive system, including ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, and vulvar cancer.

Signs and symptoms include abnormal vaginal bleeding, usually after coitus, possible discharge, and pain in the abdomen/pelvis.

A pelvic examination, pap test, or ultrasound may warrant a biopsy to reach diagnosis. If a gynecological cancer diagnosis is found, imaging studies such as CT, MRI, or PET scans can conclude the extent of the disease.
